From Press Release

Attention all lacrosse players seeking to compete on the international level in grad years 2016, 2017 and 2018:

Last year, we introduced an international battle between Team Stars and Stripes (USA) vs. Team Maple Leafs (Canada). The excitement and competition was so keen that the demand to expand this experience has been overwhelming.stars and stripes

This summer, Team Stars and Stripes will once again compete against Team Maple Leafs. Team Israel has now contacted us and confirmed they also would like to compete.

Due to demand, we are further considering having players elect to play for Team Shamrocks (Ireland) and Team Gladiators (Italy) as we assemble the international field to compete.

Due to the interest in maintaining the quality of the evaluation process, we will need to limit each tryout location to 250 players per tryout location. When location sites are filled, you will not be able to register to tryout.

stars and stripes

One of last year’s victorious Stars & Stripes teams

The list of location evaluators and Team Stars and Stripes coaches will be released shortly.

This is not a college recruiting event, but it is expected to have a strong turnout of college coaches attend and we will provide college coaches player information.

Tryouts for the Team Stars and Stripes, Team Shamrocks and Team Gladiators will take place in select venues throughout the Eastern US.

After the rosters are selected, the teams will compete on July 27-28th in a fantastic international competition in upstate, NY.

Regional Tryout Dates:
June 11th – New Jersey @ Madison High School
June 14th – Westchester/Ct @ Choate
June 18th – Mid Atlantic Region @ Shipley – Pa/Md

What will you major in/study? Business Management

Why did you choose CNU? “I chose CNU because of the great academic reputation and the coaching staff. Coach (Todd) Boward and the assistants really helped me and made the process and my decision very easy. I feel as though I will be most successful there and will have the opportunity to compete for a National Championship.”

Thoughts on your HS team’s season? “We had a lot of good players graduate, so this past year was made up of a slightly different group. We overcame adversity and had many young players step up when needed. Next spring, our goal is to work on our weaknesses and improve our game to compete at the highest level possible.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank all of the coaches who recruited me throughout this process, my high school coach and club coach, and my friends and family for supporting me.”

Other schools considered: Mount St. Mary’s University, Furman University, University of Tampa, University of Mary Washington, Lynchburg Unviversity
